Mission Statement

Cairde Dhún na nGall, the fundraising arm of Donegal GAA, is dedicated to generating vital funding and support for our inter-county teams in both Football and Hurling at all levels, including our Academy squads. We are also committed to enhancing and maintaining our training facilities at the Donegal GAA Training Centre in Convoy. All funds raised help ensure that every Donegal squad has the resources needed to perform to their full potential.

Cairde Dhún nan Gall subscribers for the last few years helped greatly to provide the resources and support required for our teams and facilities while enjoying the many benefits associated with being a member.

What’s Next?

Donegal GAA is currently experiencing an exciting and successful period on the field. Our Senior Football Team has secured back-to-back Ulster Senior Football Championships in 2024 and 2025, along with an All-Ireland Senior Football Final appearance last year. We also had a very successful Division 1 National League campaign in 2025.

Our Senior Hurling Team will compete in the Christy Ring Cup and Division 3 of the National League. This is testament to the huge work being undertaken within Donegal GAA to develop hurling at underage level over a long period. Keeping this development going is vital to maintaining the levels seen over the last couple of years.

Looking ahead to 2026, a new generation of players is progressing from our Academy into the senior ranks, presenting a fantastic opportunity to build on recent successes. Significant work has been carried out in recent years to restore our Academy to the highest standards, and continued investment is essential to developing the footballers and hurlers of the future.

Our teams are competing strongly, and with the right level of support and funding, Donegal GAA is well positioned to reach even greater heights.

The next phase of development at our Training Centre will include the construction of a modern gym and high-performance facilities designed to meet the needs of elite player and athlete development. This infrastructure will be critical to the long-term success of Donegal GAA and its teams.
