The Donegal GAA Health & Wellbeing committee, led by chairperson Cora Harvey, are inviting representatives to attend our Gambling Awareness Workshop.
Each club and sub-committee are asked to for at least two personnel to attend this workshop. This is an important interagency initiative between our County H&WB Committee, ETB, HSE & Alcohol & Drug Task Force. The aim is to reduce gambling related harms in our clubs and communities.
The intended outcome of the workshop is to:
*Allow club reps to see the workshop in action
*Encourage clubs to bring this back to their own club / community and to organise a similar event
*Sign up to train the trainer to allow you or other club / community personnel to train in delivering this workshop in your own time or book current trainers
*Receive details to drawdown your gambling bursary to help with costs on hosting a similar workshop.
ℹ️ Refreshments will be available on the night and the workshop in total will be less than 2 hours.
The workshop will be facilitated by Christina McEleney – Education & Training Officer Donegal ETB / NWRDATF. Christina brings years of experience to this field and always delivers very memorable training
