Donegal GAA to host a Tackling Bullying Workshop:
The Ulster GAA Tackling Bullying workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and expertise to prevent, identify instances of and respond to bullying behaviour in Gaelic Games Activities.
The objectives of the workshop are:
*To assist members in the implementation of ‘a whole Club zero tolerance approach’ to any bullying behaviour;
*To help them understand the role of the GAA Adult Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding Policy in prevention and response to incidents that may arise;
*To understand the minimum levels of behaviour, practice and conduct required from our Young Players, Coaches, Officials, Managers, Supporters, Referees, Parents/Guardians and Clubs;
*To understand best practice response and options to resolve issues relating to bullying behaviour if they are alleged to have occurred in line with GAA policies and rules;
*To provide guidance on club communications, the use of social media and photography within their club;
*To provide information on supports and advice available; current UGAA campaigns.
