ONE MORE SLEEP 🙌
We’re waiting for the All-Ireland: Like It’s Christmas Eve
In Donegal, the air is different.
Not just breeze off the Atlantic,
But something electric—
“Up here, it’s different!
It’s like Christmas Eve—but better.
Because this gift won’t be wrapped in paper,
But in pride, in gold and green,
In the roar of thousands of voices
Filling Croke Park with hope and hunger.
Children count down not to Santa,
But to the throw-in.
Farmers pause in fields,
Nodding to the sky,
Whispering quiet prayers
For clean weather and a strong back line.
The bunting is out—
Not tinsel, but flags!
We’ve waited.
We’ve hoped.
And now we wait again—
Not with impatience, but with belief.
Because when it’s this close,
You feel it in your bones:
The magic, the nerves, the pride—
Like stockings by the fire,
Ready to be filled
With glory.
This isn’t just sport!
It’s identity, history, and revenge for some heartbreaks that still sting.
But above all, it’s a buzz like no other.
Donegal is ready. The tree’s not up, but the county’s lit 🔥💛💚
