Donegal minors got their Ulster championship campaign off to a flying start today with a 4-15 to 0-5 victory over Fermanagh. Donegal were dominant throughout but coming up to the 20th minute it was still just 0-3 to 0-1. A Daithi Gildea goal in the 22nd minute put daylight between the sides and by the break it was 1-6 to 0-2. Goals by Lorcan McGee and Daithi Gallagher in the first three minutes of the second period definitively finished the game as a contest.
Top scorer for the home side was Daithí Gildea with 2-6 (3f) with Lorcan McGee and Kevin Lynch netting the other two goals. Mark McDevitt got three points, Finbar Roarty two and there was one each for Sean McLaughlin, KJ Molloy, Sean Martin and Cian McMenamin.
