Donegal u20s are through to the semi-finals of the Eirgrid Ulster GAA championship following a largely comfortable win over Armagh in Páirc Sheáin MhicCumhaill this evening. The spadework for the win was done in the second quarter. A Luke McGlynn goal was the only score for 17 minutes but three points in very quick succession kickstarted a scoring spree that seen Donegal go in at the break holding a nine point 1-7 to 0-1 lead. Armagh came out a different side in the second half, outscoring the home side by 0-5 to 0-1 in the first twelve minutes but Donegal regained control and held the visitors are arms length over the remainder of the game.
Derry had three points to spare against Antrim and Cavan comfortably accounted for Monaghan in the two other quarterfinals played this evening. Tyrone host Down tomorrow at 1 pm with the winners progressing to play Donegal.
