Clean bill of Health for Donegal u20s

By Sinéad Breen Donegal PRO Wed 14th Jul

Speaking to the press earlier this week Gary Duffy noted the Donegal u-20 squad were assessed by their medical team over the weekend, following the game against Tyrone last Friday, and he was happy to report “a clean bill of health” . This will be the third game in three weeks and picking up injuries to key players remains a constant concern.

This young Donegal side has been very impressive in their two games to date but Monaghan will present a very stiff challenge. The Farney County’s record in this competition has been outstanding over the last three years. Last week they narrowly lost the 2020 final to Derry on a 1-15 to 0-15 scoreline and were back to back champions in 2018 and 2019. With very little time for preparation Duffy noted Donegal’s primary focus would be on getting their own game plan right and then counter-acting Monaghan as required.

The game throws in in Brewster Park on Friday evening at 8 pm. There will be no tickets available at the gate but they are on sale on line.

The link to purchase tickets online for the game is here:

For those who cannot get to the match TG4 are streaming it live and for free on their YouTube site. The link is an is available on the landing page and on
