Donegal drawn away to Derry in the U20-B Hurling Championship

The fixtures for the u-20B Hurling championship have been released. Donegal have been placed in the “west” section with Derry, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.

Donegal have been drawn to play Derry, away, on Tuesday July 13th in the quarterfinal. Winners will play one of the three Connacht teams in the semi-final on July 20th. The dates and venues for the final have yet to be decided.

2021 GAA Hurling All-Ireland U20B Championship

The competition will be played in a knockout format.
Up to the final, teams will be divided into an East and West Section – the East section consisting of four teams and the West consisting of five.
Initially, Aontroim & An Dún will playoff with the winner entering the Leinster U20Hurling Championship and the loser entering the U20B Championship (East Section).
Preliminary Round & Quarter-Finals pairings will be based on location in their province to reduce the travel of teams with a draw for a home venue. Exception: if the distance is greater than 100miles, then the game will be played at a neutral venue.
Semi-Finals will involve the Quarter-Final winners from each section playing against each other, with a draw for a home venue. Exception: if the distance is greater than 100 miles, then the game will be played at a neutral venue.
The venue for the final will be determined by the CCCC.
The date for the final will be confirmed once the two teams are confirmed.
