Donegal travel to Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday to take on Armagh in the semi-final of the Ulster Senior Championship and Declan Bonner spoke to the media today about his team’s preparations. The only injury worry in the squad is a soft tissue problem for Paddy McGrath and the Ardara man will not recover in time for this weekend’s fixture. Both Declan, and Paul Brennan, noted that Armagh present a very considerable barrier to further progress. Games between the two sides in recent years have all been close and even a slightly below par performance could see Donegal crash out of the championship. Donegal cannot afford to start as slow as last week against Tyrone and need to “hit the ground running”.
Throw-in is at 13.15 and the game will be shown live on Sky Sports. For the Donegal Diaspora it is being streamed live on GAAGO – the link can be found on our website. The Virtual Programme will be published by the Ulster Council and a link to downloaded will be available on Donegal GAA TV on Friday evening.

Having won both their games in the competition to date Donegal hurlers have home venue and throw-in in O’Donnell Park Letterkenny is at 1.30. Their opponents Tyrone arrive on the back of a 10 point win, away to Monaghan, while Donegal will be boosted following their strong showing against Armagh. With a Nickey Rackard final berth on the line it should be a tight and exciting encounter. The game is being live-streamed by TG4 and can be accessed via the Donegal GAA TV site (from which the programme can be downloaded Friday) or via the link below:
