Tá siad ag teacht – Donegal v Tyrone Sunday November 1

By Sinéad Breen Donegal PRO Thu 29th Oct

It’s coming Sunday – the game Donegal and Tyrone senior footballers and management have had in their sights for all of 2020. With Covid restrictions it has been a long time coming but at half past one on Sunday afternoon in MacCumhaill Park Joe McQuillan will throw in the football on the Donegal-Tyrone UFC quarterfinal. The game will be live on both RTE 2 and BBC 2 with coverage on the airwaves on Highland Radio, Ocean FM and Radio na Gaeltachta.

For our diaspora the game will be available on a PPV basis on GAAGO. The link for GAAGO’s coverage can be found on Donegal GAA TV as can the link for the streaming of the Donegal v Armagh Nickey Rackard Round 2A game – effectively a quarterfinal. The free virtual programme for the hurling will be released on Donegal GAA TV tomorrow (Friday) evening while the virtual programme for the football will be available on Ulster Council social media channels on Sunday morning. As soon as Ulster Council release the programme a link will also be put onto the Donegal GAA TV site.

Any Donegal fans looking to warm up for the match can do worse than take a peek at a video released by Musgraves, a key GAA sponsor, on Ryan McHugh, linked  here. The video features Ryan and his family including his All-Ireland winning father Martin. It also features wonderful scenery of Donegal, no surprise there, throughout. Ryan discusses his family, his area at home in Kilcar and how he is hoping for success in 2020 and giving the fans of Donegal something to celebrate.
