This is the time of year where the coach education season in the county and Ulster begins. There will be a variety of changes going forward this side of Christmas due to COVID – 19. Regarding Foundation coaching courses, all theory aspects will now be completed online through Ulster GAA. Once this is completed the practical assessment of the course will be conducted by each individual county.
You must have completed GAA Safeguarding 1, Child Protection in Sport Awareness course. If your certificate is up to date (completed within the last 3-5 years) you can renew this by completing the GAA Online Refresher here.
If you have not completed this course or your certificate is out of date, you must register to complete the Online Safeguarding 1 Course by contacting Ulster GAA via email to bernie.fox.ulster@Gaa.ie. You must complete the child protection course to pass all elements of the foundation course.
Ulster GAA are now currently running an online foundation course and participants must complete the eight course modules in sequence in their own time, by the closing date of Friday 6th November 2020. Please see link for further details below
