Best of luck to the three Donegal contestants

Beidh Babhtaí Ceannais na hÉireann de Scór na nÓg ar siúl san INEC an Satharn beag seo, 1 Feabhra 2020, i gCill Airne. The hard work has all been done and the créme de la créme of competitors from clubs from all corners of the country are ready for the All-Irelands finals having come through rounds at club, county and provincial level.

Three of the Ulster contestants are from Donegal:

  • Naomh Columba in Tráth na gCeist;
  • Síofra Harvey of CLG Naomh Adhamhnáin in the Recitation/Storytelling with her piece (Bandraoi Loch an Dúin) which is entirely as Gaeilge; agus,
  • Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn in the Novelty Act with “Packie McNamee”.

We wish them the best of luck. They have done their mentors, their clubs and their county proud so far and are massive winners regardless of the outcome on Saturday. The packed crowd of up to 1,600 that will be in attendance are very much looking forward to an entertaining afternoon of song, dance, drama and story-telling from the talented young competitors. It is sure to be a great day.

Is iad Conor Ó Gallachóir, CLG Chloich Ceann Fhaola, Dún na nGall agus Muireann Ní Bhocháin, Ceann Toirc, Corcaigh a bheidh mar fhear agus mar bhean an tí agus beidh Éamonn Ó Braonáin, CLG Grattan Óg, an Longfort ann mar Mháistir na gCeisteanna.

For those that cannot travel on Saturday, TG4 will be broadcasting the finals live on their YouTube station here.
