The Mayo County Board released their first fifteen for the opening Allianz League game of the season against Donegal in MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey on Saturday evening at 7.15 pmMayo do not take the League lightly and are, of course, the reigning Roinn 1 champions having beaten Kerry in last year’s final. A large Mayo crowd is expected and in his Press Call this week Declan Bonner called on Donegal support to come out in numbers and get there early to avail of stand seats.

Gaels will be delighted to see Tom Parsons back in midfield for the Green and Red having missed a full season after a horrific career-threatening knee injury in 2018. Missing will be the record holder for Mayo appearances, and Player of the Year in 2017, Andy Moran, who  announced his retirement from inter-County football at the end of the 2019 season.
