Derry 3-5 Donegal 0-14
Derry led 1-2 to 0-4 at the end of the first quarter but six points on the bounce, three either side of half-time left Donegal looking in a strong position going into the last 15 minutes. Two quick Derry goals accompanied by two points changed the complexion of the game completely.
From leading 0-10 to 1-2, Donegal were very quickly trailing by three points 0-10 to 3-4. Heading towards the end of normal time it was back to the minimum 0-12 to 3-4. Derry hit another point on the stroke of full-time but two added time points for the Donegal lads levelled the match 0-14 to 3-5.
Donegal are in the same Group as Mayo and Roscommon who also drew 2-10 to 1-13. Next game is Saturday Jan 11th in Ballybofey against Roscommon.
