Naomh Conaill will be up against it this evening in Healy Park Omagh when they encounter Monaghan champions Clontibret O’Neills as they vie for a place in the Ulster senior club championship final. Clontibret bring the classic mix of youth and experience to the table with seasoned campaigners Vinny Corey, Dessie Mone and Conor McManus and the scalp of Crossmaglen Rangers already in their hip pocket. The Donegal champions, though, are doughty competitors and the ultimate survivors. They have every chance of emulating the fantastic achievement of Gaoth Dobhair last year and no doubt their Donegal rivals’ 2018 exploits will give that extra bit of motivation. Good luck to them and no doubt the squad will do the Naomh Conaill club and CLG Dhún na nGall proud. Throw-in is at 7.00 and for those who cannot make Omagh the match will be televised by TG4.
The action begins at 5.00 with Buncrana looking to add Donegal’s third Junior Ulster title in a row in their final against Monaghan’s Blackhill. Tomorrow, Naomh Naille travel to Celtic Park Derry for their Ulster Intermediate semi-final agains Tyrone’s Galbally – throw-in at 3.00.
