The Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Senior Championship final between Gaoth Dobhair and Naomh Conaill will be televised live on TG4 and also carried by GAAGo. This will be the fourth game of this year’s championship to be televised by either RTE or TG 4 (the highlights of a fifth, the Naomh Conaill v St Eunans semi-final were also shown). This is a very welcome development and CLG Dhún na nGall are grateful to both RTE and TG4 for their coverage. As well as bringing our showcase games to a direct audience of close to 200,000 viewers it is also available to the diaspora of GAA fans from Donegal, and elsewhere, on social media, keeping them in touch with our games and their culture.
CLG Dhún na nGall also streamed three games live this year, the Senior Hurling final between St Eunans and Setanta, the Senior Football quarterfinal between Naomh Conaill and Glenfin and the Senior semi-final between Naomh Conaill and St Eunans and it was heartening to see how many viewers got up early in the North America and the Caribbean, or stayed up late in Asia and Australasia, to enjoy our coverage. A range of other events including the recent Scór Caoga concert in An Grianán Theatre were also streamed live.
