Val Murray’s Donegal Masters team began their latest campaign with against Sligo in Drumcliffe on a 0-14 to 1-7 scoreline. Sligo led by s single point at the break 0-6 to 0-5 in a tight low-scoring game in slippery conditions. The third quarter saw both side exchange points and then Sligo struck for a goal but failed to take advantage of the four point lead. Rather, the Donegal side hit top gear and came from behind to win the game by four points.
