The double header against Cork starts with the Donegal ladies taking on the Lee-siders at 12 noon this coming Saturday, March 16th. Unbeaten to date Donegal sit proudly atop Division 1 but will be up against it in Cork in a game which will be a real test of character.
A win is vital for the senior men’s team. Anything less and Donegal’s chances of promotion back to Roinn 1 will be heavily dependent on a combination of results in other fixtures that one would not be optimistic about. Two points behind the Division’s top teams Fermanagh and Meath, who meet in the last round of games on March 24th, Donegal have an inferior points difference that reflects how tight our games have been. Points difference, however, will be a secondary concern in Pairc Uí Rinn. We’ll take a one point win no bother.
Throw-in is at 2 pm and as usual advance purchase tickets are available at a 25% discount on gaa.ie, or in your local Centra and SuperValu stores.
