Donegal had a great deal of success in the Ulster semi finals of Scór Sinsir in Banbridge last night (10th March) where they were in competition with An Dún, Ard Mhacha and Muineacháin.
Sinéad Ní Dhomhnaill of CLG Naomh Adhamhnáin qualified for the Ulster final in solo singing while Roibeard Eiméid qualified in the ballad group section. An Clochán Liath advanced to the Ulster final in the instrumental music competition and Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn rounded off one of Donegal’s most successful outings at an Ulster semi final of Scór Sinsir in the léiriú. Noreen McGarvey who was representing Dungloe in the Ulster semi final of the recitation competition performed her self-composed piece to the highest standard but was unfortunate to lose out narrowly for a place in the final.
The Ulster finals of Scór Sinsir will take place on Saturday 23rd March at 5.00pm in Galbally Co. Tyrone. We wish our competitors well. Go néirigh go geal leo.
