CLG Dhún na nGall are happy to report that works are progressing very well on the new building at the county training centre in Convoy. The Contractor is making good progress and is on programme to be complete at the end of the summer. Some key milestones achieved in the last few months:
- The steel portal frame was erected
- All ground floor services installed, concrete floor slab placed and floor screed poured
- Blocklaying is well underway with the ground floor blockwork almost complete
- First floor slabs place and floor screed poured
- Work on the roof has commenced
Over the course of the next few weeks the roof will be finished and the first floor blockwork will be finished and windows installed. We’ll post another update soon.
A major part of our fundraising towards the cost of the project is the “Buy A Brick” campaign. If you would like to be part of our journey and contribute to the centre, please buy a brick and promote the initiative with others. This is our Donegal GAA Centre and integral to the development and promotion of players and the games of our county.
