Congratulations to Buncrana on lifting the county minor hurling A title tonight after a very impressive performance to win by 10 points 2-18 to St Eunans 2-08.
The first half like the the final last week was a close affair with scores level at 1-5 to 0-8 until a late first half goal from the Buncrana men gave them a 3 point half time advantage 1-8 to 1-5. The Inishowen side started the second half brightly and opened up a 7 point advantage with 10 minutes gone in the second half 2-10 to 1-6. Buncrana lost a man 15 minutes into the second half as Eunans narrowed the gap to 4 points 2-12 to 2-08 but that was as good as it got for the Letterkenny men as Buncrana registered quick fire points to claim the victory and the title.
These two sides have been terrific all season and tonight it was Buncrana who were the stronger and deservedly claim the silverware. Congratulations also to St Eunans who more than played their part in this replay and last weeks epic draw.
The Donegal minor Youth committee would like to thank Burt and its committee for the use of their pitch and facilities once again.
