CLUB NOTES FOR WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 10 APRIL 2016

SENIOR AND RESERVE MEN

Both teams are away to Ardara on Saturday, Reserves at 5.15 and Seniors at 6.45.

LOTTO

Last week’s lotto draw took place in the Glenveagh Inn. Mark Gallagher matched 3 and won €80, Michael Boyle and Cathal Mulligan Gaoth Dobhair won €10 each in the open draw. Next week’s draw will be held in Nora’s with Joe O’Connell and Eddie Harkin co-ordinating.

REMINDER: ALL MANAGERS PLEASE NOTE: No warm ups on the field this year, no training on upper side of the 45 next to the dressing rooms. All prep work to take place in Kevin’s field.

BINGO: BINGO: DOUBLE LINES!

Yes, Bingo has double lines for this coming Friday night with single lines at €40, double lines at €50 and €120 per house. We look forward to your continued support.

LADIES

U14Girls ‘A’ team: The girls got off to a good start beating Milford at home on Wednesday evening. Amongst those who played well were Lauren Russell, Maeve Doherty and Ciara McElwaine.

U14Girls ‘B’ team: The girls lost out to Naomh Colmcille at the Burn Road on Saturday morning despite fighting hard. Latisha McGarvey was particularly impressive in goals and Orla McLaughlin and Chelsea Gorman worked hard out the field.

No games this weekend as the u14 county squads are out, good luck to all involved.

U12Girls: Training again this Friday evening at 5:30pm. New players especially welcome, girls must be born 2004 or since. Any queries contact Lisa on 0851650782.

Congrats to our county under 16 development team representatives Annie McLaughlin, Lauren Gallagher, Hannah McSharry, Tiarnach McMenamin and Molly Roarty on their win over Armagh away on Saturday, and commiserations to the team members Shannon McLaughlin and Rionach as well as Manager Paddy McMenamin who lost out in their game against Armagh.

Well done to Therese, Emer, Roisín, Shannon, Nicole & Geraldine on Donegal Ladies’ comprehensive victory over Kildare on Sunday last. The girls play in Donegal Town on Sunday.

TERMON GAA MINOR BOARD IN ASSOCIATION WITH KELLY’S CENTRA MOUNTAIN TOP LETTERKENNY

This weekend is going to be a busy one with almost all age groups in action as well as our first fundraiser of 2016 taking place in Friday night.

Our U6s and U8s will have their first fundamentals / coaching of 2016 at Kilmacrennan School on Saturday morning 10.30-11.30am. U6 Fundamentals is geared at Primary School children born in 2010 and 2011. Please bring your child along to try it out. It will be a fun based hour with children’s games and very little football, the children will really enjoy it. Any queries contact Paul 086 8759124

The U8s coaching will be outdoor at Kilmacrennan school, and all boys and girls born in 2008 and 2009 are welcome. Please ensure the children are wrapped up well and runners will be fine, no need for football boots and also all boys and girls must have a gumshield. Again the focus will be on having fun and learning the basics skills of Gaelic football. Any Queries contact Jim 087 8537291

Our U10s will also have coaching on Saturday morning 10.30-11.45 at The Burn Road. Again all boys and girls born in 2006 and 2007 are invited to attend. The children must have a gum-shield and

again should have warm clothing, football gloves and their own water bottle. Any queries contact David 085 1305332.

The U12 boys have their first game of the year in Ardara on Saturday with a 4pm (Sharp) throw in. Parents are asked to text Eddie on 086 6082512 to confirm if their son is available and if he requires a lift.

Well done to our U14 boys who made it 2 wins from 2 on Monday night with a convincing win in Glenswilly. All 24 boys were involved and thanks to the host for allowing that. Next up it’s a home game Vs N Colmcille this Friday evening with a 6.30 throw in. Come along and support the boys. We expect to get confirmation of where we will be hosted in the upcoming Feile by the middle of next week. Details will be sent to parents as soon as we have it confirmed.

Our Minors are due to play Gaoth Dobhair at the Burn Road tomorrow eve (Wed) again 6.30 throw in and they will also travel to Milford on Sunday with a 12 noon throw in time. Good luck lads.

Congrats to Enda McCormick and James McSharry on the county minor team, and to Barry Gallagher on the county under 17 team, both teams recorded victories away to Derry on Wednesday night. Next up is Antrim away on Saturday.

Reminder to all parents that all children that will be attending coaching and playing games for Termon GAA in 2016 must be registered with our club. Forms are available from your child coach or from Conall Mc Gettigan (087 2365668)

This Friday evening we will hold a Minor Board / Boys and Girls Feile fundraising table quiz in Nora’s Bar in Kilmacrennan. Over 18s only, €5 per head / €20 per team. As usual Noras will provide finger food and a complimentary lift home. Please come along and support this in what will be a good night’s entertainment while supporting our Minor Board / Feile 2016.
