Irish language workshop for clubs Saturday 20th Feb 2016

By PRO Donegal Wed 17th Feb

Please see below the details about the workshop in St. Eunan’s GAA clubhouse this Saturday 20th February.

This has the potential to be highly beneficial to clubs in the county in getting support for such things as Irish language classes, ciorcail comhrá, etc. and for this reason, it is hoped that as many clubs as possible will send a representative.

Irish language workshop for clubs this Saturday

An Irish language workshop for GAA clubs will take place this Saturday, February 20th, in St Eunan’s GAA clubhouse in Letterkenny. The event will commence at 11am and will be finished by 1pm.
The workshop is being organised by Glór na nGael, in partnership with Líofa. Attendees will get information on the Turas Teanga scheme currently being run by Glór na nGael, along with details on the new Support Fund for GAA clubs, while Líofa will give a talk on placenames, surnames, and the impact of the Irish language on our spoken English.

The workshop is free of charge and every club is encouraged to send one or two (or more!) along to it. We ask that you register your interest in advance by calling Caitríona at Glór na nGael on 083 448 1999.

The workshop will be run bilingually to assist those who are not confident in their use of Irish.
