St. Michael’s Notes

Senior Championship

Both teams travelled to Kilcar in the second group game in this years senior Championship on Sunday last and both teams recorded excellent victories.

The Seniors won on a scoreline of Kilcar 0-5 St. Michael’s 2-8 and the St. Michael’s scorers were Colm McFadden and Daniel McLaughlin 1-2 each, and Liam Paul Ferry, Andrew Kelly, Martin McElhinney and Michael Gallagher 0-1 each.

The reserves also recorded their second victory of the campaign with an 0-10 to 4-8 victory over the hosts.

The St. Michael’s team and scorers were: Josie Gallagher, Denis Trearty, Stephen Doak, Eddie Patterson, Ryan Langan 1-0, Paul Creamer, John Sheridan, Oran McGee, Brendan Devine, Ciaran Kelly, Keelan McGee 0-1, Daniel Doak, Lee Carr 0-2, Raymond McLaughlin 2-5, Danny Langan. Subs used Dean Fleming for Josie Gallagher, Peter Sweeney for Eddie Patterson, Paul Baird for Oran McGee, Shane McFadden for Ciaran Kelly and Dara McCarry for Paul Baird.

Both teams are away to Glenswilly in their final group games on this Saturday evening with the throw ins at 4pm and 5.30pm.

Strictly Come Jive

St. Michael’s GAA Club are running a Strictly Come Jive in late November. If you or anyone you know would be interested in taking part please contact Patricia Kelly on 0861239435.

Lotto Rota

The St. Michael’s Lotto Rota for the next two weeks is as follows: 11th October Dunfanaghy Liam Kelly and Trevor Stewart, Creeslough Bernadette McFadden and Patricia Hunter, 18th October Dunfanaghy Gerard Gallagher and Danny Langan, Creeslough Patricia Kelly and Martina Carr. Anyone who is unable to carry out this very important job for the club is asked to get a replacement on the night.

Clubhouse Key

There is a Key for the Clubhouse in the Dunfanaghy Post Office during weekdays if required but anyone borrowing it must return the key to the Post Office.

St. Michaels Minor Board

Under 16’s

Well done to the St. Michaels under 16 team who beat Buncranna by eight points at the Bridge last Monday evening in the Northern Division semi final. It was a great team performance by all. The boys now play St. Eunans in Convoy on this Thursday evening in the Northern final. Good luck to all.

Congratulations

Congratulations and best wishes to Carlos O’Reilly who will be taking part in a skills day in Croke Park on this Sunday 12th October. Carlos was the lucky winner in the draw to represent St. Michaels.
