Under 12 Girls

The under12 girls attended the county development blitz on Saturday. Unfortunately we only had 8 players available & we were a player short in each game. However the girls stood up and played out of their skins and won their first two games to go through to the final against Downings. Unfortunately being a player short all day took its toll on our girls and the fatigue was evident during the final. Everyone of the girls stood up and were counted and gave their all. Because of being a player short we also had Ciara Mc Garvey injured going into the tournament & she had to play in goal, she was badly missed outfield. However we had great performances from Marcella Dolan, Aoife Kelly & Clara Rodden up the centre, & they were very well supported by Courtney Brennan & Lauren Russell, in defence & Leah Kelly & Shannon Rutland up front.
Well done to all the girls.

The under 8’training continues at the Bridge on Wednesday evenings from 6.45 until 8pm. Any queries contact Hugh Doyle on 0864472068. It is hoped to have some friendly blitzes before the end of the season.

Under 13’s

The under 13’s beat Burt in Burt on Wednesday week by a comfortable margin. They were due to play Glenswilly at home on last Wednesday.

Under 16’s

Good luck the boys who will play St Eunans in the Northern Divisional Final on next Monday night the 25th August at a venue to be decided.

St. Michael’s played Malin away to Burt last Monday evening in the quarter Final of the Northern Championship. St Michaels secured a comfortable win by over coming the opposition on a score of 2:5 – 3points. The Bridge men played very well throughout with an exceptional performance from Mark Stewart. We now await the draw for the semi final!!
