BIG BREAKFAST
Our annual big breakfast took place Sunday May 4th and although it rained continuously it didn’t dampen spirits with it been yet another fantastic day for our club & community. The club would like to thank all those who made it a success and above all those who supported it on the day and bought tickets, supplied food and helped out in any way to making it a success.
MOVILLE GAA GOLF CLASSIC
The Club’s annual golf classic will take place on Saturday 24th May in Greencastle Golf Club. Entry for members is €60 per tea of four and €120 for visitors. There are over €2,000 worth of prizes this year including golf bags, golf clubs, shoes and clothing. There is nearest the pin, longest drive and a prize for the top ladies team. A timesheet is in operation and you can book by phoning Greencastle GC on (074) 93 81013
LOTTO
There was no jackpot winner this week. The winning numbers were 2, 10, 17, 19. The €50 runner-up prize goes to Ryan McDermott. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,500. Thank you for your continued support. We would like to appeal for more Lotto sellers as it is out main source of income. Please support our club lotto.
CARRICK FIELD REOPENED
Saturday evening so the first game take place since the pitch re opened after been extensively done up. A lot of hard work and effort got it to be in the fantastic shape it was in and a big thank you to all who played there part big and small in getting it there.
RESULTS THIS WEEK
Moville Senior Men played their first true home game in Carrick Field since it closed for renovation last year; they hosted Robert Emmet’s, Castlefin on Saturday evening. Moville ran out winners by a score of 2-15 t0 3-07, with Robert Emmets grabbing two goals late on in the game to narrow the gap. Scorers for Moville were: Ciaran Diver (1-2); Mark Henry (1-1); Malachy McDermott (0-3); Ryan McDermott (0-1); Nigel McMonagle (0-4); Maurice Harkin (0-2); Danny Murphy (0-2). There was a great crowd here to support the teams on Saturday night and to welcome home football back to the club. Moville are scheduled to play Convoy at home next Saturday with throw in at 6pm. Any changes to this will be on the club facebook page.
The Senior reserves game took place at home against Robert Emmet’s Reserves after the senior game and the boys ran out comfortable winners by a score of 3-14 to 1-08. Scorers for Moville were: Jason Reynolds (2-1); Joshua Lafferty (0-6); Connor Doherty (1-1); Jamie McCormick (0-2); Dean McGeoghan (0-1); Killian Dougal (0-2); Matty Henry (0-1) The senior reserves will also have their next game home to convoy next weekend.
The Under 16 boys continued their winning ways with a very hard fought win over Malin on Tuesday night on a scoreline of 0-15 to 1-11. In a good battling display, Kyle Dougal and Pauric Gillen excelled at the back while Patrick Faulkner with 0-7 was the pick of the forwards. The under 16’s continue their league with fixtures against Urris (away) on Tuesday night and Muff at home on Friday night. Both games have a 7pm throw in time.
GAELIC FOR GIRLS
Gaelic for girls continue this Wednesday from 3.45-4.45 for any under 8 under 10 girls wishing to play gaelic football. It will take place on the astro pitch. The lead coaches will be Aoife O Hare & Mags Mulhall. This will run for 8 sessions to begin with. Please come along and join the fun.
UNDERAGE FOOTBALL
U8’s will play Burt this week, day and venue to be confirmed. U12 girls are away to Burth this Saturday.
TRAINING
Senior and reserve training continues at 6:45 on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Players should come prepared for both Astro and full pitch training.
U14 girls training takes place on Thursday evenings on the Astro at 4:30 – new players are more than welcome.
Senior ladies training takes place on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 and Sunday mornings at 11am.

MISCELLANEOUS CLUB NOTES
The pitch continues to take great shape a lot of effort and hard work and time has brought it to where it is now hopefully will be playable very soon thanks to those involved.
