Urris GAA Club Notes 25/05/2015

INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP:It was Intermediate Championship football for our Senior & Reserve men last weekend with Fanad the visitors to Straid. Hard luck to the Seniors who lost by a point Urris 1-06 to Fanad 0-10. Better luck for our Reserves with a final score of Urris 1-08 Fanad 0-10. Well done lads. So, its back to league action this weekend with both teams away to Red Hughs in Killygordon at 6.00pm and 7.30pm. Bank Holiday Monday, June 1st home to N. Brid, Ballintra . LADIES FOOTBALL: Well done to our Ladies who beat Ternon by 5-07 to 3-05 in Termon on Sunday. The ladies play Glenswilly on Wednesday night in Straid But again please check our Facebook page for updates as fixtures may change. After Wednesday night’s match there will be no games until the Leaving Cert is completed.

U16: Well done to the U16 lads who beat N Ultan on Sunday night in their Co semi-final match. Final Score Urris 2-13 N Ultan 2-10. Final on Friday night coming against Glen. Venue to be confirmed. We will keep you updated on Facebook.

U14: Our U14 team are away to Burt on Bank Holiday Monday at 7pm.

U12 GO GAMES: Urris are away to Moville on Tuesday night at 6.30pm

U6, U8 and U10 Boys & Girls Training: Training for all boys and girls in Straid this Friday from 4pm to 5pm. U10 Go Games home to Buncrana on Saturday.

BOOT EXCHANGE SCHEME: for Under-age players now up and running: In these times of financial constraints on families the club has introduced this exchange programme-old football boots in good condition that children have out grown can be dropped in or exchanged for a bigger/smaller pair as required. A minimum donation of €5 to the club for the boots that are taken away. Please contact Nichola Lagan on 0866030736 for further information . All boots can be dropped off at all Under-age training/matches now.

CLUB BINGO: Bingo every Thursday night in St. Mary’s Hall at 9.00pm.
