Minor Board – Eddie Harkin eddie.harkin@wuerth.ie 0866082512 Ladies Board – Madeline McDaid mcdaidmads@eircom.net 0877716511 Senior Board – Connell McGrenra clgantearmainn@live.ie 0860858109

Seniors & Reserves

This weekend sees the Seniors play a double set of fixtures. On Friday evening they travel to take on Gweedore in their re-arranged League match, while on Sunday both the Seniors and Reserves are home to neighbours Glenswilly. The Reserve match is set for a 1:30 start, with the Senior match throwing in at 3:00.

U-21s

The U-21s drew with Naomh Mhuire Convoy at The Burn Road on Tuesday evening. A spirited performance form all the boys meant that a draw was probably a fair result in a game they could have won, but thought they’d lost. Some more direct football, along with composure in front of goals was all that was lacking and this young team will be hoping to put that right next time out in the replay. There is no confirmation for day/time/venue at time of going to press so please see local media for more information. The team was: Shay McElwaine; Cian Doherty, Joe McCusker, Conor Murray; Aidan Sweeney, Nathan McElwaine, Cillian McConigley; Caolan Mellett, Joe Gallagher; Ricky Gallagher, Daire McDaid(C), Mark Gallagher; Paul Mallon, Fionntan O’Flynn, Caolan McDaid. Subs: Conor Tinney, Shane Callaghan, Conor O’Grady, Steven Doherty, Micheal Kelly.

Best of luck this weekend to Lee Doherty, Enda McCormick and James McSharry who are part of the Donegal U16 squad that will compete for the Buncrana Cup.

Our Cul Camp is well and truly underway with a great turnout for this year’s camp. We have over 80 boys and girls in attendance and despite the best efforts of the weather; they all have really enjoyed

the first few days activities. A huge thanks to Brian Trearty for being present for the week and looking after the needs of children and coaches alike.

Our U13 B team get their Division 3 league campaign up and running tomorrow evening (Wednesday) 7pm at The Burn Road. Best of luck to the boys. Next Wednesday our U13 A team will travel to O’Donnell Park for an eagerly awaited league fixture. Come along and support these boys if you are in Letterkenny next Wednesday please.

Coaching for U6s, U8s and U10s will take place this Saturday morning 10:30-11:30 for U6s, 10:30-11:45 for U8s and U10s.

We have just launched a major fundraising drive to raise funds to enable work to resume on preparing our Training pitch which as you all know, is very badly needed to relieve the pressure on our main pitch at The Burn Road. The fundraiser is supported by all elements of the club: the Ladies Board, Senior Board and Minor Board. Termon GAAs’ “Guess The Score” which relates to the upcoming All Ireland Semi-Final between Donegal and Dublin will allow everyone to have their chance to predict the score in this already much talked about fixture. Lines are on sale at €3 each. We will be seeking your support with this and we hope to have every family that have a club player of any age on board to sell a sheet or at least part of a sheet for this fundraiser. Over the next few days we will begin to distribute these sheets so again we are appealing for your support with this. Should any family receive more than one sheet, please return the surplus sheets to any committee member.
