St. Michael’s Notes

All County League

Both teams were at home to Naomh Conaill on Sunday the last 6th July, Glenties were unable to field a reserve team owing a Graveyard Mass, leaving the reserves without a match.

The Senior teams had a very good victory beating Naomh Conaill by 9 points to 8, picking up two valuable points. The St. Michael’s scorers were: Martin McElhinney 0-3, Andrew Kelly 0-2 and Christy Toye, Chris McElhinney, Michael Langan and Michael Cannon 0-1 each.

The seniors and reserves are due to play Ardara at home on this Sunday the 13th July.

Runegal in Donegal

The Runegal in Donegal (The Hornhead Challenge) 10k sponsored by Mollys Bar and Grill and Boyces Centra in Dunfanaghy will be held on Saturday 12th July at 2pm with registration from 12.30pm at St. Michael’s Clubhouse.

Adults 10 Children €5. Fun day also at the St. Michael’s GAA Club grounds with Bouncy Castle, Face Painting for the children, DJ, BBQ after the race with prizegiving in the Clubhouse. Changing and shower facilities available.

Table Quiz

St. Michael’s GAA Club will host a heat of the All County General Knowledge Quiz in the Clubhouse on Friday 18th July in aid of the Donegal Team in the Ulster Final. A Donegal Jersey will again be provided as a ticket prize draw on the night. The quiz will consist of eight rounds of ten general knowledge questions with two points for a correct answer. The entry fee is €5 per person and teams should have no more than four members. Venues with six or less (four members) entered and paid shall send one winning team to the county final. Venues with more than six teams entered and paid for can send winning two teams to the final.

Lotto Rota

The St. Michael’s Lotto Rota for the next two weeks is as follows:, 12th July Dunfanaghy Marjorie Rodden and Rose Baird, Creeslough Colm Anthony McFadden and Darragh McCarry, 19th July Dunfanaghy John McFadden and James Alcorn, Creeslough Manus Friel and Ronan Murphy. Anyone who is unable to carry out this very important job for the club is asked to get a replacement on the night.

Bingo

The €150 on the Snowball game at the Bingo session in Dunfanaghy on Sunday night last was won by James Boyce Creeslough. This weeks Jackpot will be €1460.

Patrons please note that this months 50 Club Draw will take place at the Bingo Session in Dunfanaghy on this Sunday night the 13th July.

Lotto

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night Sunday last; The Numbers drawn were 1,2,5,7,16, 18; the 4 match 5 winners were Ann Marie Ferry Shroughan, Eamon McGinley Ards, Chelsea Evans Hoornhead and Ann McGee Dunfanaghy who won €25 each. This weeks jackpot will be €6150.

Club Gear

Clubhouse Key

There is a Key for the Clubhouse in the Dunfanaghy Post Office during weekdays if required but anyone borrowing it must return the key to the Post Office.

Coaching

Kelloggs Cul Camp

The Annual St. Michael’s Kellogs Cul Camp will be held at the Bridge from the 28th July until the 1st August. This camp will cover Football Hurling and Camoige and the prices are as follows: 1st Child €55 2nd Child €45 3rd Child €40. For more information contact Liam McElhinney on 0868611097.

U8’S
The under 8’training takes place at the Bridge on Wednesday evenings from 6.45 until 8pm. Any queries contact Hugh Doyle on 0864472068. The next blitz is scheduled for the this Friday July 11th with teams from Lifford Convoy and Red Hugh’s also taking part. Gunshields are compulsory and must be used.

Under 10 Notes

Next Blitz is scheduled for this Saturday July 19th with teams from St. Eunans and Fanad Gaels also taking part.

Under 16’s

The 16’s beat Milford on Tuesday night and Fanad on Friday.

Minors

The Minors beat McCools this eveining in Ballybofey.
