St. Michael’s Notes

All County League

The seniors overcame Four Masters in wet and windy conditions on Saturday evening last at the Bridge to record a good victory winning on a scoreline of St. Michael’s 1-8 Four Masters 0-7 in the All County League. The St. Michael’s scorers were: Lee Carr 1-1, Andrew Kelly 0-3, Raymond McLaughlin 0-2, Ciaran Gallagher and Ryan Langan 0-1each.

There was no reserve match as Four Masters did not travel.

Both teams are away to Kilcar on this Sunday the 7th June with the throw ins at 1.30pm and 3pm.

Well done to Michael Langan who was part of the Donegal Minor Team that defeated Armagh in the Ulster Minor Quarter Final on Sunday evening last to progress to the Ulster Semi Final.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto Begins at €5000 this week

Congratulations to Marie Doohan Carrowcannon Falcarragh and Mary Feeney c/o The Log Cabin Bar in Creeslough who shared the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto jackpot of €6800 winning €3400 each on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 1,2,8,9,10,11. This weeks Jackpot will start at €5000. The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan for Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.

Tickets are on sale in local businesses in Dunfanaghy and Creeslough and at the Bingo Session in Massinass Community Centre Creeslough on Sunday evenings, tickets for the St. Michaels Mini Lotto can now also be purchased on line anywhere at at onlinelotto on facebook .

Drive Home in Style From The Bingo in Creeslough

You could win a car on every game every Sunday night at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre Creeslough by winning a house on 45 nos or less. A number from 1 to 90 will be drawn out of a draw just prior to the Bingo commencing and if that number comes out in the first five numbers of any game on the night the Car or €10,000 is in play and if that house is claimed on 45 nos or less including the number drawn, then the car is won. The Normal Snowball also in play every night. In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €1000. There is also a Monthly Draw with the 1st prize of a Television, which will take place on this Sunday night 7th June at the Bingo Session in Dunfanaghy. Tickets €2 each or 3 for €5, free ticket with every Bingo Book purchased or 2 with a double book. Free draw every night at the Bingo for some great spot prizes, 1 entry with single book, 2 with double book. The single book is €8 and double €12, both books include snowball page. Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre. The €150 on the snowball game at the Bingo session on Sunday night last was won by Jessie McNulty Feymore. The winner of the Door Prize of was Phyllis who won a Voucher for Huckleberry in Creeslough. This weeks Snowball will be €740.

Film Crew

A Crew from Just So Productions in London visited the Bridge at the weekend. On Saturday evening they filmed footage during the St. Michael’s v Four Masters games and they were back again on Sunday filming. They were working on a programme about golfer Paul McGinley who has strong associations with the club.

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

Lotto Rota

The St. Michael’s Lotto Rota for this week is as follows: 6th June Dunfanaghy Liam McElhinney and Mickey McFadden, Creeslough Michael Cannon. Anyone who is unable to carry out this very important job for the club is asked to get a replacement on the night.

Donations

Any donations of tea cup/mugs would be greatly appreciated by st. michaels, they can be left of at the shop at the b ridge at any training session or match day.

Good luck to all our players who are taking part in the state exams at the moment.

Under 8’s

The Under 8’s had their home blitz on Saturday last at the Bridge. St Michael’s, Downings and Convoy teams played on the finest morning May had to offer. The large crowd who turned out to support were treated to a fine display of football from all teams, special word of mention to all who helped out with teas, sandwiches and homebaking.

Training continues on Tuesday’s from 6pm to 7pm at The Bridge with the bus leaving Creeslough at 5.45pm sharp. €3 for the bus, Gumshields essential.

Under 10’s

The Under 10’s have a home blitz is scheduled for Saturday June the 6th at the Bridge Dunfanaghy. All help with teas, donations of sandwiches and home baking will be greatly appreciated.

Training continues on Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm at The Bridge with the bus leaving Creeslough at 5.45pm sharp. €3 for the bus Gumshields must be worn.

Under 12’s

As we will have games every Wednesday, training will now run on a Friday evening only from 6pm-7.30pm. Full attendance needed.

Under 13’s

The team will play six games with seven teams in the group.
