St. Michael’s Notes

Championship

Both teams were away to Four Masters on Saturday evening last and both recorded good victories. The seniors recorded a good victory on a scoreline of Four Masters 2-5 St. Michael’s 3-13. The St. Michael’s scorers were: Andrew Kelly 0-4, Ciaran Gallagher 1-0, Christy Toye 0-2, Daniel McLaughlin 1-3, Colm McFadden 1-2, Martin McElhinney and Michael Langan 0-1 each.

The Reserves also registered an empathic victory winning on a scoreline of Four Masters 2-3 St. Michael’s 1-14.

Both teams area away to Glenfin this weekend with the day and through in times to be confirmed.

Everyone at the club wishes our senior player Martin Breslin a speedy recovery after his injury in last weekends championship game.

There were 4 Match no 5 winners. 28 people matched 4 and their names were drawn; the winner of the €100 was Pauline Boyle Snr Castledoe. This weeks Jackpot be €5600. Drive Home in Style From The Bingo in Creeslough

You could win a car on every game every Sunday night at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre Creeslough by winning a house on 45 nos or less. A number from 1 to 90 will be drawn out of a draw just prior to the Bingo commencing and if that number comes out in the first five numbers of any game on the night the Car or €10,000 is in play and if that house is claimed on 45 nos or less including the number drawn, then the car is won. The Normal Snowball also in play every night. In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €5600. There is also a Monthly Draw with the 1st prize of a Television; Tickets for the television are €2 each or 3 for €5, Tickets are also available from committee members. free ticket with every Bingo Book purchased or 2 with a double book. Free draw every night at the Bingo for some great spot prizes, 1 entry with single book, 2 with double book. The single book is €8 and double €12, both books include snowball page. Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre. The €150 on the snowball game at the Bingo session on Sunday night last was won by James Sayers Errarooey. Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

St. Michaels Minor Board

County Teams

Well done to the following St. Michael’s players who were on county teams recently.

Congratulations to Ciaran McGinley, Odhran McFadden and Jamie Hunter who were part of Donegal’s McGuigan Cup under 17 winning team last week

Eoghan Kelly was on the Donegal Buncranna Cup Panel which were defeated recently.

Smashing Time

Anyone with any old crockery/ cracked cups should leave them at the Portacabin in Creeslough as they will be needed for our annual Sports Day.

Sports Day

The annual Sports Day in aid of the Minor Board will now take place on the 13th September. More details to follow. All donations and or prizes for the raffle would be greatly appreciated, can you please keep this date free as this is the only fundraiser for the minor board. Cup/Mugs

Thank you to all those who donated cups and mugs which is greatly appreciated, however we could still do with more donations please.

Under 8’s

Training continues on Tuesday’s from 6pm to 7pm at The Bridge with the bus leaving Creeslough at 5.45pm sharp. €3 for the bus, Gumshields essential.

Under 12’s

Training will now run on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7.00pm at the Bridge.

Bus leaves Creeslough at 5.45pm sharp. €3 for the bus. Gumshields essential. Some more challenge games will be planned.

Under 16’s

The under 16’s are playing away to Fanad Gaels in Round 3 of the Championship on Monday the 31st August.
