Under 16’s

Hard luck to the under 16’s who were narrowly defeated by St. Bridget’s from Antrim in the Ulster semi final in Dromore Co. Tyrone on Saturday last on a scoreline of St. Bridget’s 1-7 St. Michael’s 0-7.

St. Michael’s got off to a bad start conceding a very unlucky goal in the first few minutes and trailed at half time by 1-5 to 0-2. The boys staged a very strong comeback in the second half to come within three points and had a number of goal chances late on but the Antrim team held out for the win in the end.

The under 16 have had a great year.

The team managers Mickey McFadden and Michael Kelly would like to thank all the players, parents and supporters for their efforts throughout the year.

The boys and management have done the club and parish proud this year culminating in winning the County A title and getting to the Ulster Semi Final. Some of the boys were on the PCC team that reached the All Ireland Semi Final earlier in the year.
