Our U 16 lads travelled to Donegal Town on Mon evening where N.Ultan were the opposition in the U 16 Div 2 County Semi-Final
St Marys were behind at Half time as N.Ultan went in at the Break 1-04 to 0-5 with scores for St Mary’s coming from K.Gibson 0-2 A.Foy 0-1 P.Dolan 0-1 and E.Kennendy 0-1 .
N.Ultan came out the stronger in the second half with 4 unanswered points to take a commanding lead 1-08 to 0-5 but P.Dolan settled the St Marys lads down with a Goal followed by a point from J.Mc Gill the lads continue to dig deep and with K.Gibson finding the back of the net they took the lead for the first time in the Game 2-06 to 1-08. Both sides trades scores P.Dolan for St Marys 2-07 to 1-09
A Point from St Marys M.Mc Clafferty keeps the pressure on but again N.Ultan respond with a point 2-08 to 1-10.A.Foy points for St Marys and they hold on for the win that see them into the Div 2 County Final.
Senior and Reserve men are away to Carndonagh on Sat afternoon Games at 5 and 6.30 to finish off their season for this year.
