Club Notes: Week ending – 19th of June 2016
Donegal and Monaghan Game:
Best of luck to Marty and the Donegal team in the Ulster semi-final against Monaghan in Cavan on Saturday. Safe journey to all travelling.
Senior Men’s Football:
Seniors and reserves were in action away to Milford on Sunday. The reserves posted another vital win and had to dig deep and show great character to scrape out the result Milford 1.12 Seán Mac Cumhaills 2.12. The seniors were unlucky with a last minute goal cruelly snatching the 2 match points away. Milford 1.12 Seán Mac Cumhaills 1.10.
Senior Hurling:
The hurlers were in action with an away game against Sean Treacys, Lurgan on Sunday with a depleted squad and narrowly lost out on a score line of 1.15 to 2.08. They are away on Sunday to Castleblayney, time to be confirmed.
Visit of Beann Eidear, Dublin, and Special Guests:
On Friday the 24th of June our club will host C.L.G Beann Eidear, Dublin for 2 days. Our under-10s will play a football game on Friday evening at 7.00pm and a Hurling game on Saturday morning at 10.00am.There is a presentation up stairs in the clubhouse at 8.30 on the Friday night followed by a free underage disco from 9.30 to 10.30pm. We have very special guests present on the evening so it promises to be an eventful occasion. We’d encourage as many kids and parents to get involved in what will no doubt be an extremely rewarding experience for those involved!
Cúl Camps:
The Cúl Camps return on the 4th of July and last to the 8th at the club from 10.00am to 2.30pm. Any queries contact Jason on 086 323 7916.
Super Valu Kits for Clubs:
Kavanagh’s Super Valu Ballybofey have once again launched their Kits for Clubs. As proud sponsors of the GAA Football All- Ireland Championship they have donated over 400 juvenile GAA clubs with kits worth over €430k collectively and our own Local Super Valu has always been a great supporter of the club and once again we can benefit from their generosity.  Every time you spend over €40 on a shopping you will get a special receipt at the till. Just put that receipt in the Seán Mac MacCumhaills box. It’s that simple!
Bingo:
The Bingo takes place in the Villa Rose Hotel on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.
Lotto Results:
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 6, 10, 23 and 26. There was no match three winners so three names pulled out: Noreen Kelly, Ash Meadows, Jacqueline Harper, Michelle Carlin, Buncrana c/o Alan Martin all receive €30 each. This week’s jackpot is still a massive €10,000 and Shane Mc Nulty and Barry Dowd’s teams are selling.
Club Shop:
The club shop is not open this week. It is back open again next weekend.
Training Schedule:
Training will cost €2 once a week and all players must have their membership paid. Please bring gum shield/helmet and a bottle of water. All teams are now underway and any change of schedule will be informed by the relevant coach. Any queries feel free to contact us on Facebook. Reminder for the following groups:
Under-6 football: Wednesday at 6.00pm.
Under-8 football: Saturday morning at 10.30am.
Under-10 Boy’s and Girl’s football: Saturday at 10.00am.
Under-16, Minors and Senior Ladies football:  Tuesday and Thursday at 7.00pm.
