Intermediate A Championship – Group B
Naomh Muire Lower Rosses 1-7 Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon 0-10

St Naul’s 1-8 Downings 1-7

A late goal from Ultan Boyle rescued a share of the points for 14 man Naomh Muire against 12 man Aodh Ruadh at The Banks on Saturday evening. Naomh Muire looked the better side early on but the Ballyshannon side finished the half strongly to take a 0-6 to 0-4 lead in at the break. Despite being out-numbered Aodh Ruadh looked to have done enough to secure the points until Boyle’s late goal.

Division 3 champions, Na Dunaibh, visited Mountcharles and while the home team edged the tie, Downings did enough to show they will not be out of their depth in 2020. The home side led all the way and were 1-5 to 0-3 ahead approaching half-time but a Downings goal left just two points between the teams at the break. Nauls held the lead until full-time with Downings reducing the lead to a point on three occassions but never managing to level the scores.
