Good Luck

Good luck to the St. Michael’s players Colm McFadden, Christy Toye and Martin McElhinney and the rest of the Donegal team and management in the Ulster semi final on Sunday next in Clones.

All County League

Both teams were at home to Kilcar on Sunday last in Division 1 of the All County League. An understrength senior team missing the county players and a number of others lost by one point on a scoreline of Naomh Michael 0-7 Kilcar 0-8. The St. Michael’s scorers were: Michael Langan and Stephen Coyle 0-2 each, and Liam Paul Ferry, Andrew Kelly and Andrew Kelly 0-1 each. The reserves lost on a scoreline of St. Michael’s 1-4 Kilcar 2-8. The St. Michael’s team and scorers were Josie Gallagher, Thomas O’Donnell, Shaun Doak, Denis Trearty, Peter Sweeney, John Sheridan, Daniel Doak, Brendan Devine, Oran McGee, Dara McCarry 0-1, Ciaran Kelly, John McFadden, Keelan McGee 1-3, Hugh McGee, Jack McGinley. Subs Eddie Patterson for Thomas O’Donnell and Dean Fleming for Jack McGinley.

St. Michael’s GAA Club would like to thank everyone who helped to paint the clubhouse at the Bridge on Sunday last. The help was very much appreciated and the clubhouse looks very well.

Lotto Rota

The St. Michael’s Lotto Rota for the next two weeks is as follows: 21st June Dunfanaghy Liam Kelly and Trevor Stewart, Dunfanaghy Christy Toye and Martin McElhinney. 28th June Dunfanaghy Daniel McColgan and Darren Kerr, Creeslough Joe Horan and Mark Langan. Anyone who is unable to carry out this very important job for the club is asked to get a replacement on the night.

Bingo

The €150 on the Snowball game at the Bingo session in Dunfanaghy on Sunday night last was won by Kathleen Montgomery Dunmore Falcarragh. This weeks Jackpot will be €1400.

Runegal in Donegal

The Runegal in Donegal (The Hornhead Challenge) 10k sponsored by Mollys Bar and Grill and Boyces Centra in Dunfanaghy will be held on Saturday 12th July at 2pm with registration from 12.30pm at St. Michael’s Clubhouse.

Adults 10 Children €5. Fun day also at the St. Michael’s GAA Club grounds with Bouncy Castle, Face Painting for the children, DJ, BBQ after the race with prizegiving in the Clubhouse. Changing and shower facilities available.

Lotto

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night Sunday last; The Numbers drawn were 4,8,12,14,15,17; the 3 match 5 winners were Marian McDaid Carnamaddy, Anne Devine Portnablagh and Bridget Moore Carrigeen House Kill Dunfanaghy who won €35 each.. This weeks jackpot will be €6000.

Clubhouse Key

There is a Key for the Clubhouse in the Dunfanaghy Post Office during weekdays if required but anyone borrowing it must return the key to the Post Office.

Coaching

Parish League

The finals of the St. Michael’s Parish League were held in glorious sunshine at the Bridge on Sunday evening last. Each game was evenly contested from the Tiny Tots right up to the Under 15 final and the event was greatly enjoyed by children and parents alike.

U8’S
The under 8’training takes place at the Bridge on Wednesday evenings from 6.45 until 8pm. Any queries contact Hugh Doyle on 0864472068. The under 8’s travelled to Ballybofey last Saturday and played Naomh Colmcille, Macumhails and Fanad Gaels. The team came away with two wins and lost in a tight game to Fanad Gaels. Everyone played well with special mention to Aiden McFadden, Katelyn McFadden, Caolán McFadden and Jason Curran. The next blitz is scheduled for the weekend of June 28th in Lifford with Lifford Milford and Buncranna due to take part. Gunshields are compulsory and must be used.

Under 10 Notes

Training continues on Wednesday from 6.45 until 8pm at the Bridge. At least one parent must stay and assist at training. Next Blitz is this weekend June 21st in Glenswilly. Gunshields are compulsory and must be used.

Under 12 Notes

The under 12’s travelled to Lettterkenny Gaels last Monday evening. The A’s came away with a win and the B’s came away with a draw. Well done to everyone who played so well. Our next game is at home to Milford on Monday the 23rd June.
