Malin senior and reserves teams both drew at the weekend with the senior score Malin 1-13 Sean MacCuimhaill 0-16 and the reserve score Malin 0-07 Sean Mac Cumhaills 1-04. The club would like to congratulate Brendan McLaughlin, Stephen McLaughlin, John Gerard McLaughlin, Matthew Byrne and Terence Doherty on their Oscar Trainor Cup success. These players made a great effort to be part of Sunday’s senior panel and we are glad they will be available for the remainder of the league and championship.

SPORTS DAY

The Malin sports day will be on the 31st of May at 2.00pm in Connolly Park with all the usual races and events including the . Entry on the day is €5 and all children are free. The charities this year are MS North Services Donegal and The Parkinsons Socirty of Ireland, Donegal Branch. This year the sports day will launch the first ever James Anthony McColgan Memorial cup. The late James Anthony was our former club president and a member of the Culkeeny team, the first gaelic club in the Parish. The competition is a seven a side gaelic football tournament and already teams from all Malin Head, Auchayclay, Glengad, Malin town as well as a team from Moville, Urris and Carndonagh have signed up. Each team may consist of up to ten players and registration is €10 per player with all the money going to the charities. Teams are asked to register with Linda McColgan on 0863452769 or Elaine McColgan on 0863902626 before Sunday or on Sunday before 3.00pm down at the sports.

LADIES

The senior ladies match against Robert Emmets was cancelled again last week and the have no match no until the end of June.

UNDERAGE

The under sixteens managed by Michael McCarron, Shane McCarron and Sean McLaughlin (o) lost out in the Northern Board Division 3 final against Gaoth Dobhair played in Newtown last Wednesday night. The team on the night was Joe Doherty, Robert Boggs, Cormac Cullinan, Oisin McGonagle, Sean Byrne, Conor Gallagher, Conor Bambrick, Ciaran Doherty, Daniel Houghton, Padraig McCarron, Sean O’Neill, Conor McGeogeghan, Callum Doherty, Andrew McDaid and Ciaran Doherty

(d). The under 12’s play away to Burt on Tuesday. The under 14’s are away to Naomh Padraig Muff on Tuesday.

UNDERAGE/SENIOR GIRLS TRAINING

The under 14’s have a match at home to Muff on Tuesday night at 6.00, The under 12’s are at home to Urris at 4.30 on Wednesday evening. The under 8 and 10 girls hope to play Muff this weekend.

U6,U8 and U10 girls team training every Saturday from 11.00 – 12.30

U12 girls team training every Wednesday from 4.00-5.00, new players welcome. U14 and U16 girls team training every Wednesday from 5.15 – 6.15.

Senior Ladies training every Tuesday and Thursaday from 7.30-8.30.

LOTTO

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €1450. Sequence drawn was 3-1-2-7-4-5-6. €50 winner was Colin Douglas, Ballymena. Next week’s jackpot is €1500.
