Letterkenny Gaels Club Notes 17/05/2016

By PRO Donegal Tue 17th May

Letterkenny Gaels Club Notes.

The senior and reserve footballers had no game at the weekend and are fixed to play Naomh Colmcille away on Saturday evening. See Facebook for throw in times.

Last Sunday evening we hosted our first session in the glass lobby at the Silver Tassie hotel. This was a great evening with fantastic musicians and singers performing. It was great to see the talent from young musicians and singers from the club. Details of the next Oíche na nGael traditional session in the Silver Tassie will be up on the club Facebook and in local media.

The senior ladies played neighbours Glenswilly at the weekend and despite a great display of football the girls lost out to a strong Glen outfit.

Sympathy is extended to Gabrielle Mc Monagle and family on their recent bereavement.

The Letterkenny Gaels annual 5k Road Race and Fun Run will be held on Tuesday 31st May. This 5k is part of the Donegal Grand Prix Series. This is a flat course which should give good times. More details on Facebook.

Four of our young hurlers represented the club at the U-14 Hurling skills competition in Convoy at the weekend. The players were Anthony O’Baoghaill, Eoin Keenan, Conal Boyle and Matthew Winters. The lads will be eligible to take part next year as they will still be underage.
