Lotto Result: There was no jackpot winner in Week 41 of the 2014/2015 season draw held in the Abbey Hotel on Monday April 27th. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 8 & 13. The four consolation winners were Daniel Ward, Doonan; John Begley, The Diamond; Dave Shanaghan, The Diamond; and Marie Feely, Drimernrgm. Each will receive €25. The jackpot now stands at €500.

Come Cook With Us Fundraiser: The Ladies and Bord an nOg are hosting a joint fundraiser on Friday 8th May in the Abbey Hotel, starting at 8:30pm. The fundraiser is a night of comedy and cooking with chef Joe Shannon and comedian Frank Forde hosting the evening, which has proven to be a big hit access Ireland with other clubs. There will be a number of club members cooking on the nigh including Sharon Gilespie, Barry Monaghan, and Austin O’Kennedy. All club members, parents, players, and locals are encouraged to attend the night, with tickets available from any underage coach/manager or via the Abbey Hotel. Tickets cost €20 for the night, with all monies raised being reinvested in our teams.

Boys Football – Training Times:
•U8 boys on Thursday (6pm to 7pm)
•U10’s on Wednesday (6:15pm to 7:30pm)
•U12’s on Tuesday (6pm to 7pm)
•U14’s on Monday (7pm to 8pm)
•U16’s on Friday (5:30pm to 7pm) and U16/Minors on Monday (6:15pm to 7:15pm).

Hurling Training Times:
•U8/U10’s on Friday (6pm to 7pm) and U12’s and above on Friday (7pm to 8pm) will return next week. Hurling contacts are Lorcan O’Toole (0871354564), U12s contact Fergal McAllister (0873445981) and U14/16 contact Mark Sweeney (0868107678).

Camogie Training Times (Fridays):
•U8s – Rosemary Myers 6-7pm
•U10s – Breege O’Keeney 6-7pm
•U12s – Laurence Doherty – 7-8pm
•U14s – Michael Feeney 7-8pm
•U16s/U18s – Laurence Doherty 8-9pm and Fridays 7-8pm on Wednesdays

Ladies Football Training Times:
•U12 girls football is on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm and U10 girls football starting this Thursday from 5pm to 6pm in Tir Conaill, with the Senior Ladies on Thursdays from 8pm.

Senior Men’s Training Times
•The Senior men’s teams are currently training on Mondays (5:30pm in Bfit), Wednesday (7:30pm) in the Rugby Club and Friday nights (9:30pm) in Tir Conaill.

Managers should contact Paddy Muldoon to make pitch/training bookings.

Seniors win against Gweedore: the senior men’s football team had an excellent 1-07 to 1-06 win over Gweedore on Sunday in Tir Conaill Park. A good team performance in the first half saw the lads leading 1-03 to 0-05 at half time with Karl Lacey hitting a number of free kicks and Emmett Doogan getting the goal. Gweedore took the lead mid way through the second half with a penalty and Neil McGee point before points from Karl Lacey and Sean O’Kennedy sealed the win. The game was the first for our new manager Ciaran McBride. The seniors and reserves both play Ardara this Friday night in Tir Coanill Paark. The reserve game is at 6pm and the senior game is at 7:30pm, all support welcomed for both teams.

Speedy Recovery: The club would like to wish U10 hurler Jamie Carr aspeedy recovery with his broken arm. All his team mates look forwrad to seeing him back at training.

U16 Boys Football: The U16’s boys team lost out 2-12 to 5-09 to Aodh Ruadh on Tuesday night in Tir Conaill. A decent first half saw the lads leading by three points. The lads threw away a five point lead in the second half with Aodh Ruadh being very clinical on the break to score a number of goals.

Ladies Football: the senior ladies lost out to Naomh Conaill on Sunday morning in Glentie, with goals being the difference.

U12 Girls Football: the U12 girls lost out to Ardara last night in Tir Conaill Park. The game was played in terrible conditions with both teams putting in good performances.

U14 boys football: the boys lost out to Ardara last Saturday morning in Tir Conaill with Ardara finishing strongly to win.

U12 boys football: the boys continued their preparations for the upcoming league with a good win against an excellent Robert Emmetts team. Both teams won on the night with both games very competitive.

Donegal GAA: Well done to Dylan Kennedy and the Donegal minor football squad who defeated Derry 2-14 to 1-09 in Omagh on Saturday to win the Ulster League Final. Well done to Kate Keaney and the Senior Ladies football team that defeated Westemeath 3-10 to 1-04 to reach the Division 2 League Final.

Coaching Academy: the 2015 coaching academy for 4-7 year olds boys and girls continued on Saturday morning with another massive turnout of over 90 boys and girls attending. Thanks goes to all the coaches, volunteers, parents, and players that helped out on the day. The acadeny continues every Saturday from 11am to 12:30pm in Tir Conaill Park. All parents and children are asked to be in Tir Conaill for 10:45pm so coaching can start on time. New children and parents are always welcome to attend. Anyone that can help out at the academy any week should make contact with Pauric Harvey (0860523905) or Laurence Doherty (0877532705). Helpers are required each week for the car park, tea room, collecting money, coaching, setting up and clearing up afterwards. There will also be a weekly mini league for this group in the Summer which will take place on a weekday and consist of all games.

Virtual Sod: the virtual sod fundraiser is ongoing in the club with lots of members signing up so far. The cost of the virtual sod is €20 with all people signed up receiving a certificate and their name going on a large wall display in Tir Conaill. Pieta House Darkness into Light: the upcoming race/walk will take place early on Saturday May 9th from the St John Bosco at 4:15am. All club members are encouraged to support this fantastic event.
