Declan Coulter for Hurler of the week

By Sinéad Breen Donegal PRO Mon 12th Jul

Along with Laois’ Paddy Purcell and Derry’s Odhran McKeever, CLG Dhún na nGall’s Declan Coulter has been nominated for this week’s nominees GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Declan Coulter played a vital role in keeping the scoreboard ticking over for Donegal during the first half keeping them well in tough despite Leitrim’s hat-trick of goals. In all Declan, despite having to retire injured half-way through the second half, contributed 1-10 as they won through to another Nickey Rackard Cup semi-final after a stunning third quarter that put paid to a courageous and gallant Leitrim side that never threw in the towel.

The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA’s official Instagram page. Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, July 13, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.

The hurling team of the week also features Gerry Gilmore who had a stunning third quarter, contributing five points in the first twelve minutes of the second half, and the ever reliable Jack O’Loughlin.
