Donegal players relaxed for a few days to bask in the glow of their wonderful Ulster final victory. Winning Ulster championship is the reward for a 24/7 commitment that generally governs how the players eat, drink, sleep and relax in addition to their training and conditioning regime. Switching off for 48 hours was well deserved but its back to semi-monastic lifestyle again as they prepare for MacCumhail Park and the Super 8s on the weekend of July 13/14 and whatever opposition they face – the winners of Meath and a Round 3 qualifier. With a bit of luck that commitment will generate its own reward on September 1st.
