The draws for the Electric Ireland GAA Higher Education Championships were made by Uachtarán CLG Larry McCarthy at Croke Park earlier this week.

 

Good luck to ATU Letterkenny who play DCU in the first Round. If they win the take on the winners of QUB v Ulster University. Defeat to DCU sees them play the losers of the same tie. There is a link to the full schedule at the bottom of this weblog.

 

Matches start early in the new year and the finals will take place on the GAA campus at SETU Waterford from February 15th– 20th. Uachtarán CLG Larry McCarthy said: “I am delighted to take part in the draw for the Electric Ireland Higher Education Championships, competitions that have a proud history and heritage and are hugely valued by all of those who play in them. I want to thank Electric Ireland for their continuing support look forward to watching the battles for these prestigious cups unfold in the new year and look forward to seeing the excellent facilities in Waterford host the concluding stages.

 

Mike Hyland, GAA Higher Education Chairperson, commented: “The Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Championships are amongst the highlights of the GAA calendar. … We are delighted that Féile CA will take place in SETU Waterford from 15th– 19th February. We are very thankful to Electric Ireland for their outstanding commitment to the Higher Education Leagues and Championships.”
