“Very special connection between Donegal fans and their boys was lovely to witness … the lads were very appreciative”

All roads lead to O’Neill’s Healy Park, Omagh, on Sunday for Donegal’s Round 2 Division 1 fixture against Tyrone in the 2023 Allianz League and the Donegal squad will be relying on big support after the great start to their campaign last weekend. The support and encouragement from the crowd was as good as a 16th man, in the second half in particular, and was welcomed by all the squad and appreciated by Paddy Carr with the manager commenting:

“A very special connection between Donegal football supporters and their boys was lovely to witness and be part of last Sunday in Ballybofey … did everyone’s heart good … I know the lads were most appreciative of everyone getting behind them … let’s hope that more want to be part of that next Sunday in Omagh.”

The throw-in against Tyrone is at 2:00 on Sunday afternoon and David Gough will be the referee. The game is not broadcast live on either RTE or TG4 – nor is it streamed by GAAGO. As is the case at all county games now, no cash will be taken at the gate and tickets must be purchased in advance at either the link below or selected SuperValu and Centra stores. The link is also on the Donegal GAA website.
