The fixtures for the Dr McKenna Cup were released today by the Ulster Council. Donegal are in a Section A with Down and Monaghan, who square up in Roinn 1 on Wednesday January 4th.

Paddy Carr’s competitive debut as manager starts in Páirc Esler on Sunday January 8th with a 1.30 pm throw-in against An Dun. Their second fixture is in Páirc Sheáin Mhic Cumhaill on Wednesday January 11th against Muineachán. Throw-in is at 7.30 pm. The full list of fixtures across the three sections is below.

Format 

  • All nine Ulster counties will participate in the 2023 Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup in 3 groups of 3 teams.
  • Each county will have one home game and one away game.
  • The counties who finish top of their section will progress to the semi finals, alongside the best placed runner up.
  • The venues for semi finals and final will be determined by Comhairle Uladh CCC.

Tickets FAQs

  • No matchday sales will occur at any Ulster GAA games.
  • Refunds/exchanges are not permitted.
  • All tickets will be scanned on entry to the ground. No ticket, no entry.
  • Tickets must be purchased online or at selected stores in advance.

  • Ulster GAA define juvenile tickets as those under the age of 16 and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children aged 2 or under do not require a ticket.
