Carndonagh Community School won the U16.5 Hurling Donegal Cup today.

In a Damp and dreary day in Convoy, hurling was the real winner with 5 secondary schools taking part.

Rosses Community School, St.Columbas Stranorlar, Combined Letterkenny Schools, Crana College and Carndonagh Community School all biding, to become County champions.

In the round robin format 10 games where played, with St.Columba’s, and Carndonagh Community school both coming into the last round unbeaten.

In a very keenly contested last match between both sides, it was the Inishowen Mens ability to score goals that decided the game, to end up deserving winners.

Well done to all teams on playing the games in the right spirit, in wet conditions.

Thanks to the Schools and their teachers, for giving up their time to look after the teams.
