CLG Dhún na nGall are pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Ward, as the new under 17 football manager.
Barry is a member of the Aodh Ruadh club in Ballyshannon, where he has coached at all levels. In 2020 he managed Aodh Ruadh to both the intermediate championship and division 2 league title.
In 2022 he managed the Donegal under 16’s who were defeated by Tyrone in the Buncrana Cup final.
Barry attended Queens University, Belfast graduating with B.Sc. in Environmental Planning and a Masters in Town & Country Planning. During his time at Queens he won a Sigerson medal in 2000. Barry has been employed by Sligo County Council as an executive planner since 2002.
Donegal GAA wishes Barry every success with his new charges. It’s an exciting time for this group of players, as Barry will be renewing acquaintances with many of the under 16 boys from 2022.
