Comhghairdeas Carn Domhnach winners of the 2023 Grand Canal Hotel Intermediate Hurling Cup. They beat Sean MacCumhaill by four points in the final this afternoon in O’Donnell Park: 2-12 to 2-8.
As was the case in last year’s final the Inishowen team led by four points at the break 2-8 to 2-4 having scored 1-1 in the final four minutes of the first half. Having learned a lesson from last year a dogged second-half performance restricted MacCumhaills to just four second half points and soaked up the pressure from the twin teams across five minutes of added time before Cathal Doherty pointed a free to give them a four point cushion and ensure victory.
The Junior Championship final starts at 4 pm between Burt and St Eunans with the Senior final between Setanta and St Eunans at 6 pm. Both games are on Donegal GAA TV – see link below:
