Donegal play Derry in the final of the Jim McGuigan Cup this Saturday in Maghera. Throw-in is at 12 pm and admission is free.
Donegal lost their 100%Donegal v record in the competition following a one point defeat to Sligo 0-11 to 2-6 in Ballybofey and will be anxious to bounce back and win the competition on Saturday. Derry will be tough opponents. They maintained their undefeated status with a 5-17 to 0-5 win over Antrim in Round 4 having also hit the net five times beating Down 5-13 to 1-3 in Round 3. Earlier in the campaign they recorded away wins in Monaghan (1-14 to 2-9) and Armagh (0-7 to 0-15).
While Donegal shared top spot in Group A with Tyrone – their stats were identical – Donegal pipped the Red Hand county, and current holders of the Cup, having won the head-to-head game between the two sides in Round 1 in Ballybofey.
