Sanctioning transfers between clubs is a seasonal issue to be addressed in the early months of each calendar year. This year in particular a key feature was the substantial imbalance between transfers out of county compared to those back to Donegal. It is timely therefore that  Donegal County Council have started a new #MoveToDonegal Relocation Marketing Campaign. CLG Dhún na nGall heartily support this campaign which will showcase Donegal as a premier relocation option both for those with a connection to Donegal as well as for people seeking an excellent work life balance in an idyllic rural setting. A new video campaign from Donegal County Council calls on people to consider a move to Donegal.

The county offers the perfect combination of connected business opportunities with a lifestyle that encompasses the beautiful, rugged scenery it’s famous for.

 

Donegal County Council today launched the ‘Donegal Is Calling’ campaign, highlighting the county’s vibrant culture, modern infrastructure and world-renowned scenery which makes for the perfect remote working location.

 

Donegal is an attractive location for those who are looking for a modern, connected lifestyle, no matter where in the county they choose to settle. Whether relocating to one of the many villages or towns across the county, or for those wishing to live a little more remotely, access to amenities and a connected way of living is what makes Donegal so appealing.

 

Donegal is the ideal location for those who crave both a productive work week and a weekend filled with pastimes that enrich and excite them. Whether it’s enjoying a play in An Grianán Theatre, taking part in a pottery class in Donegal Craft Village or heading to the local pub for a gig, the county has something everyone seeking a more rounded lifestyle. Speaking about the latest campaign, Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Cllr Liam Blaney said;

‘Our relocation marketing campaign is a timely reminder of the opportunities Donegal presents to progress your career across a range of industries, while enjoying a fantastic quality of life and unrivaled scenery. If you are thinking of a change in location, we would actively encourage people to move to Donegal.’

 

Those who are enjoying this way of life feature throughout the video campaign including Donegal Ladies’ Gaelic Football captain and occupational physiotherapist Niamh McLaughlin, who left Dublin for Donegal during the pandemic to be closer to what matters most: work, sport, and her friends. Speaking about her move to Donegal, she said;

‘Donegal is becoming so diverse and is always developing in all aspects of study, culture, sports, the outdoors, food and socialising. It offers everything that a bigger city or country can but with the beauty of its views, outdoors, and its active, healthy lifestyle.’ 

 

The hero video content for the campaign was filmed on location in Donegal across the towns, villages and beautiful landscapes showcasing all the county has to offer. The organisations featured include;
