The Donegal GAA Centre in Convoy will be the venue this Saturday for the Peter O’Keefe under-15 hurling semi-finals and final. Donegal will play Mayo in their semi-final with throw-in at 12.30.
This Donegal squad has worked hard all year and enter the final weekend unbeaten with wins over Sligo, Armagh, Wicklow, Tyrone and Roscommon. The backroom team of Dáithi Roberts, Joe McColgon, Manas O’Donnell, Stephen Byrne, Steve Gallagher and Danny Doran have developed these lads as a team with great potential. Dan Donnolly from the McCumhaills club is team captain.
Saturday will be a step up and Mayo, also unbeaten, provide the initial challenge at 12.30. The winners will play either Armagh or Longford in the Peter O’Keffe Final at 2.00pm.
Peter O’Keefe, a Realt na Mara Bundobhráin clubman, was a stalwart of hurling with the Aodh Ruadh club in Ballyshannon and the cup is appropriately named after him. We wish all teams and supporters safe travels to Convoy on Saturday.
